Malcolm Wheeler-Nicholson is the founder of National
Allied Publications back in 1934, which would eventually
become the globally-known DC comics. Nicholson was
an American pulp magazine writer and entrepeneur. He
eventually parterned with magazine distributors Harry
Donenfeld and Jack Liebowitz who founded the Detective
Comics, the first series the famous Batman appeared in.
In 1969 NPP was bought by Warner Brothers which would
continue comic publications and character creations
as well as movies later down the line.
